Using the hymn-tune associated with “From all that dwell below the skies” and “All creatures of our God and King,” this work for concert band was commissioned by Illinois Lutheran High School in two versions–a small ensemble version and a large ensemble version. Taking pieces of tune and weaving them through a series of treatments, the piece draws the audience in as it builds, finally revealing the complete tune in the closing section.
