The Integrity Project

The world is a changing place. Where we once worked to build each other up and tear down barriers, we now glorify violence and diminish the worth of the entrepreneurship and the creative spirit.

The Integrity Project is a large-scale compositional effort, utilizing words written by a diverse group of 19th Century American poets. Each of the poems chosen for the project speaks in some way about living life in an upstanding way; speaks to the heart of what makes a person of integrity.

The settings are each designed as stand-alone pieces, and are written in differing styles and genres, from solo voice with instruments to unaccompanied chorus to accompanied spoken word, from classical vocal to musical theatre to “adult contemporary.” Although designed to be performed individually, they all work together to create a multi-genre oratorio of sorts.

As details of the project unfold, I will provide more detail on this page.
